Time Forgot
This is Sunday morning at Tallulah Gorge in Northeast Georgia. An amazing place really, which has it’s origins in the distant dark past. There’s a lot of fascinating information about the geology that shapes this place and literally stretches back to Pangea (for the science nuts like me).
In more recent times, it was a tourist destination in the 1800’s. But the railroad moved on and the river was damed for hydroelectric power for Atlanta, and the prosperous times slipped away. But it’s still an incredible natural wonder that I finally got around to visiting.
