Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers

My all time favorite band. There is only one band that I have crossed state and national boundaries to see, and that’s Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

The Fratellis

Discovered this band while visiting their native Scotland. I had planned to catch their act at the street party festitvites on New Year’s Eve. Alas, gale force winds kept that from happening, but ater hearing a few songs, I bought their CD, which has since been released in the U.S., as well. A relative new addition to my must-listen bands, but their are rare CD’s I can listen to over and over and over, and the Fratellis belong in that camp.

The Automatic

Another discovery from the British Isle. This Cardiff band has had a song appear on the Doctor Who spin-off, Torchwood, and I heard it again many times in the Highlands of Scotland.

The Kooks

I honestly don’t remember how I found the Kooks.  But they had already released two albums when I did and I ended up downloading them both as well as many of their singles.  My absolute favorite song is “She Moves In Her Own Way.”  I can and do listen to their songs over and over.

Assorted Entertainment

Doctor Who – The Official Site

That delightfully quirky bit of sci fi from across the pond.

Smallville

Comic book mythology meets TV soap opera. Smallville is one of those shows that just keeps sucking me back in.

Supernatural

A mixutre of the paranormal, mystery, on the road, and yes, more bubble gum soap opera sometimes.

The Allspark

The Transformers, one of my oldest sci fi loves, and how to pick just one site when this is an interest that crosses cartoons, comics, toys, etc?? Although it’s been years ago, there was a time when I followed the Con circuit for these robots in disguise. I still spend too much of my paycheck on them sometime.

NEWSARAMA.COM

Lifelong geek when it comes to comic books. The only guilty spending other than toys is done on comics
