Egypt
The photos in this album are from my so far only trip to Egypt which began in late December of 2007 and ran for two weeks and some change. I traveled with Intrepid Travel because they travel in small groups and closer to the way locals travel. We traveled in boats, trains, trucks, and small buses. Just getting from place to place was as much of the experience as seeing the incredible wonders of antiquity that exist there.
These photos are first round edits from this trip and run the gamut from the wonders of antiquity like the Sphinx, pyramids, New Kingdom temples, and the amazing landscapes of the Nile, Sahara, and Sinai Peninsula. Beyond the obvious, my top memories seen in these travel photos are an amazing balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings and the beauty of the Red Sea.
