Mexico 2007
The photos in this album are from a week spent in the beautiful sun of colonial Mérida, Mexico, capital of the Yucatan state. My initial reason for traveling there was believing I could use some of my frequent flyer miles to get to Cancun. I couldn’t find flights in and out with flyer miles in a reasonable time frame but I could fly into Mérida, of which I had never heard before. After reading a little it looked far more interesting to me and I have to say that it’s a great city to explore on its own and a great jumping off point to see the Mayan ruins like Uxmal, Kabah, and the well known, Chichen Itza. On top of all that, I had a small beach adventure on the gulf beaches at Celestún.
These photos represent the first round of edits from my travels. If you’d like to see the pictures I consider my best from this and a subsequent visits to Mexico check out my gallery.
